A scholarships offered by Association of Modified Asphalt Producers (AMAP) aims to score the next candidates of asphalt industry leaders for the future. The scholarship which is the second annual awards of R. David Jones IV will provide a $ 1.000 scholarship to college juniors or seniors majoring in subjects related to asphalt technology, such as chemical or civil engineering and chemistry.
The scholarships will be accepted through Oct. 1,2010 by attaching the following conditions, letters of recommendation, school transcripts and 500 word essay highlighting their interest in asphalt technology. Complete details about application requirements described on the application form. The applicants with experience and interest in the overall field of asphalt technology will be given special preference.
The application forms can be obtained through the AMAP website at www.modifiedasphalt.org and the announcement of scholarship winners will be conducted simultaneously with Amap annual conference in Kansas City in February 2011.
