Study Abroad Through Travel Scholarship Program

The middle and high school students are invited to study abroad by applying for a scholar trips on 2011 travel scholarship program offered by Mondial Assistance, a travel insurance and assistance company.

Scholartrips will provide four scholarships of $ 2,500 for students who pass the selection for essential travel opportunities and educational opportunities for students in the Richmond region. Scholarship recipients will also get travel insurance and access to the same 24-hour assistance hotline Mondial Assistance provides its customers.

Travel scholarship program is only available to students in the city of Richmond and Henrico County, Hanover, Chesterfield, Goochland, Powhatan, New Kent and Charles City. Mondial Assistance depends on foreign language skills more than 40 different languages spoken in the office of Mondial Assistance.

Students can apply for scholarships by visiting at http://scholartrips.org. Application forms must be accompanied by an essay describing how the study abroad experience can help them achieve academic and personal goals. Students are also required to submit a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. The deadline to apply is February 28, 2011.
