The 2011 Channabasappa Memorial Scholarship presented by the International Desalination Association (IDA) will select one or more graduate students studying engineering or science in preparation who are interested for a career in desalination or water technologies.
The scholarship program will provide up to U.S. $ 10,000 per calendar year, named in honor of desalination pioneer KC Channabasappa. The applicants are the member of the IDA at this time and graduated from an accredited university and be from the top 10% of their class in science or engineering. They also must prove admission to a graduate program of doctoral studies in desalination or water reuse.
The candidates will be selected based on their undergraduate transcripts, references and motivation for a career in desalination or water technologies and also exhibit leadership and achievement potential.
