"Green Grant" will enter into force in Brazil

Poverty reduction has been announced the adoption of the law for the "Green Grant" (Bolsa Verde) by the Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff. The law is called by the program for support of environmental protection to life, also called "Green Grant", and is part of the program without misery Brazil (Brasil sem miseria).

Through the "Green Grant" per quarter are extremely poor families who live in harmony with nature and thus protect these, 300 reais (about 123 €) are available. The goal is to combine environmental protection with the improvement of living conditions of these people and increasing the income.

Families must be registered with the Ministry of Environment and join the program in support of environmental protection, which includes an environmentally friendly behavior catalog, with a signature. The funds will be transferred within two years to the families, with an option to extend the period.

The Law on Environmental Protection Visors on forests and nature reserves, through the various projects of the National Institute for Colonization and Agrarian Reform: are supported (Instituto Nacional de Reforma Agraria e Colonização shortly INCRA). Further included are areas that are home shore residents, Extraktivsten (of the gathering, living persons) and the indigenous population.
